GCL Cart Drawer & Upsell ("the app") adds a slide-out cart to a merchant's Shopify online store. This policy explains what information the app handles.

Information from merchants

When a merchant installs the app, Shopify gives us the store's domain and an access token so the app can work inside the Shopify admin. The cart slider settings a merchant chooses (texts, colors, rewards, offers and selected products) are saved in the merchant's own Shopify store as app data, and are shown on the storefront as the merchant has configured. We also keep a record of the store's domain, its plan (Free or Pro) and its subscription status, so that paid features can be switched on or off.

Information from store customers

The app does not collect, store or process any personal information about a store's customers or visitors. It sets no cookies and does no tracking. The cart shown in the slider is read and updated in the visitor's browser through Shopify's own cart, and never passes through our servers.

Sharing

We do not sell or share merchant information with third parties. The app is hosted on Vercel and uses a Neon database to hold the store session described above.

Retention and deletion

Store session data is deleted when the app is uninstalled, and any remaining data is erased when Shopify sends a shop data erasure request. Merchants can also ask us to delete their data at any time.
